Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my class are performing at the lowest 25% assessment-wise, and they need diligent intervention. Most, if not all, students, come from unconventional backgrounds, which in turn affects their learning in a sometimes negative manner. While proper instructional materials are the key to all success stories, the classroom environment a student is presented with paves the way for this success.

Students should be able to walk into a classroom with a sense of optimism and, more importantly, excited to learn!

My goal as an educator is to create an environment that encourages creativity, and relaxation, and gives the essence of a home rather than just any other class.

In a modern-day world where visuals are everything, it is important to find ways to pull students into the learning process (especially those that are struggling academically) and a key factor is ensuring that students feel invited, and more so, welcome in the class.

Creating a vibrant and educationally rich environment for them to thrive is a task I take seriously. I hope to continue to create that through the use of innovative, eye-catching decor such as the requested figurines and organization items for our desk areas.
