I am the proud teacher of 28 amazing fourth graders! One of my favorite things about my class is the way they build each other up and celebrate success yet are supportive and empathetic during challenging times.
Many of my students live in poverty and come with some extremely sad stories and adult problems on their shoulders.
My goal is to give them every opportunity to feel successful and happy while they learn and thrive in a safe environment where they are loved and valued.
My Project
I want my students present and ready to learn each day! Having the cleaning materials to prevent illness and keep a healthy learning environment will be a huge factor in our success this year! It is very difficult to keep everyone caught up when they are constantly out with colds and the flu.
Paper towels, wipes, and Kleenex will help get us off to a healthy start.
It's difficult for students to learn and remain focused when they are not feeling well. We eat breakfast and lunch in our classroom, as well. It will be a huge help to have the supplies to wipe off the desks and chairs. The supplies will also be used to wipe down math manipulatives and other shared items.
