I work with children with special needs; students who face incredible challenges every day. Life is challenging as it is. Now incorporate language struggles, not a second language but using language to communicate on a daily basis.
We often take for granted talking and expressing ourselves.
My students struggle with expressive talking and receptive listening skills every day. They struggle with processing what is said and returning the answer appropriately. Sometimes they need a subtle prompt, perhaps in the form of a picture, to help recall words.
My Project
My students would benefit from a Honeywell True HEPA machine to help clean the air of allergens and pollutants. They would also have a better day with healthy snack choices like:
