Help me give my students the gift of fresh, clean, air. Last year many of my students were chronically absent due to asthma and other breathing issues. An air purifier would greatly improve our air quality.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first grade students are vibrant, loving and ready to learn. My students are special because they love to learn and cherish their time in school. The school's demographic is one hundred percent economically disadvantaged. Fifty-two percent of our students are African American, thirty percent Hispanic American, and eighteen percent Other.
My students work hard and show pride in their neighborhood, school, and community.
My classroom is full of future presidents, doctors, ninjas, veterinarians, cops, and, of course, teachers. I hope that you can join us on this journey and help us to achieve these dreams and more.
My Project
An air purifier will be extremely helpful for my students. Many of my students suffer from asthma, which can cause many absences from school. Asthma affects many kids in inner-city schools such as ours. Our school building was built in 1924 so it can be very dusty.
An air purifier will make our children healthier and cut down on absence, which affects about 75% of my students.
It will also help my students to breathe easier which will help them learn more and be more comfortable in school. Thank you for helping clean our air and make our children healthier in school!
