CLAY, CLAY, CLAY...Help Students Play with Clay!

I need this membership in order to take classes on a new art medium to bring back to my visual arts students.

My Project

This membership will help me learn how to use clay as a medium in my own classroom. My specialties as an artist include; glass mosaic, watercolor, and graphite drawing. I have not done very much with clay, I do not want my limitations to limit the students. I want to continue to learn new medias and techniques to make the students art education more well rounded and robust. We do a lot of 2D art because of our limited arts program. I would like to bring a fun 3D medium into my school. Our students would be able to understand the Element of FORM so much better by creating it in their own two hands with clay! My school has a kiln and maybe someday some wheels, but as soon as I learn clay, I can show them handbuilding and sculpture immediately. Thank you for your support of the arts!
