Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a city that has been ranked the number one most dangerous city in the country. Our city has a high level of poverty, and the problems in community are felt in our schools. In addition many of our students do not have strong parental support and guidance. Therefore, as a teacher, I have to be a role model and support to many students.
We have students that go to school full-time, and work several part-time jobs to help sustain the livelihood of their families. While the students have an assortment of obstacles they face every day, I also say that they are hard-working and intelligent individuals. It is my job to ensure that when they graduate; my students are prepared to be functioning citizens in society.
As a teacher in a Title 1 school district, I observe that many of my student lack the ability to use technology and that is a skill that is necessary in today's world. Many of my students go directly into the work force after graduation. I want my students to be successful in whatever avenue they pursue, but it will difficult if they are not proficient in their technological abilities.
This year our school do not have any printer or copy machine for teacher to make copy for students' assignment. As the result, teachers and students are suffered due to the cut fund. I was lucky that, I got funded new printers and toners two months ago, but the toners run out very quit because many teachers in the building also came to my room to make copy or print out assignments for their students.
Due to the funding cut, many students are limited with technology, if we have one pair of Beat headphone to help students concentrate more in class.

Ms. Shedlovskiy is a very dedicated teacher, she teach us geometry, geometry is very difficult topics, so when we need additional help she doesn't mind if we come during lunch times to get extra support. Many of us are visual learners, if we have colors print, it will help many of us learn better because we see and learn better when it graphics. In our class, there is a program called Imagine math, we need to pass a lesson every day, it is part of our district requirements, however there are many noises and movements in classroom because we have a lot students in class at the same time. If we have a beat headphone to share, it will help many of us concentrate better during our lesson time.
The toners will help many of us with visual learning to learn better because when it comes to geometry , there are angles, graphics, and lines. If with color prints, we can see better if it in graphics . It will helps us memorizing the formulas and properties of geometry faster.
Due to large numbers of students in the classroom, as a result, there are many movements and noises in class. If students have a beats headphone, beat head phone block noise , then it will helps students concentrate better during their activities time. Additionally, Geometry is very difficult topic, if students have color print it will help many of us remember the formulas, angles and lines faster.
