My students need lap boards and desks, privacy partitions, and mentor texts to be more successful in class without having to struggle with things that we already have that are not fully functional.

Hello. I am a 3rd Grade Teacher in a small rural farming community in Firebaugh California. Our school is a Title I school. Which means that a lot of our children come from a very poor background household. Most of our students' parents work out on the fields.
The thing that I love about my students is that they are very hard working students who are always willing to try new challenges.
Yes, at times they might struggles with new skills, but with a little bit of guidance and live they are always willing to please their teacher. They love hands on projects something that is tangible. Overall, they are great students and as a teacher I always look forward coming to work everyday. It is my hope to acquire funding to replace old tools that I have in the classroom to be more successful as a teacher.
My Project
My goal with this project is to uplift my classroom with newer and better tools to use in this upcoming year. This will benefit many more students in the years to come. Working in a Title I district it's hard to provide students with opportunities to be more successful in the classroom.
I feel that replacing this equipment will give the students more confidence and morally they will feel better about feeling safe in learning in the classroom.
This is a fun and safe learning environment for the students. I will be replacing the old broken whiteboards with new ones. I will use the mentor textbook to uplift my guidance when teaching writing. The lap desk will be a great desk tool for students who need to be close to the smartboard and may do better sitting on the carpet. The privacy partitions will give the students privacy while they are working.
