Our school has some old equipment that has lasted many years. Unfortunately, when this equipments' repair cost is more than its worth, it's considered "totaled". My old trusty big TV has finally stopped working and we don't have the money to replace it.
My student are hard working scientists and mathematicians.
They are very into visual learning. They work in a technology themed classroom, making songs and videos about their classes' content. They are cooperative learners who know how to have a lot of fun and share their knowledge/understanding.
My Project
We have had the same TV in our room for over 10 years, but it finally stopped turning on. Our school's budget is used for the year on replacing equipment and the set is too old to try and fix. We don't watch TV on this, we watch our own projects, math/science web sites, and other educational videos. It took a lot of fun out my classroom's program when our TV broke. The little amounts of time we do need to see the math or science to better understand it are now gone. Luckily, HD LCD TVs are now affordable.
