Classroom Transformation! Flexible Seating and New Aged Tools!
My students need new seating and materials to transform our classroom! Our bench and variety of seating options will differentiate our classroom to meet all needs.
Comprised of 27 students with a variety of learning abilities, styles, and interests, the need for tools that help differentiate and engage students is increasingly important.
With technology being so appealing to students, along with the need to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, additional classroom supplies are needed to aid in the advancement of our learning.
Teaching all subject areas to a group of individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs, these materials will allow for all students to work with technology and manipulatives to increase their learning.
My Project
Creating an environment where kids feel safe and learning can occur is important. I would love to transform my classroom into a safe space that meets the needs of all students.
Through the use of the flexible seating options, students will have a variety of places to work around the room.
With the bench, kids will be able to comfortably read with a buddy or transform the bench to a table to work at. I will raise one desk so some students are able to stand and work, while lowering other desks so students can sit comfortably on the ground.
In addition to the flexible seating changes, I want to increase engagement through the use of the wireless microphone and video cameras. Having students use these tools to increase their desire to learn and engage with others through interviews and listening to themselves read.
