This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am blessed to teach a wonderful group of inner-city kids. My school is over 98 percent free/reduced price lunch. It blows my mind to see and hear of some of the situations my students go through on a daily basis. From living in the projects, shelters, or even be all out homeless.
These kids deserve the same chance to be successful as any other child at any other school.
My students, while most are eager to learn, also have many disadvantages that others do not. These kids deal with situations on a daily basis that many adults would not be able to handle. Most of them would be at school every day if it were up to them, but many times it is not. If any child deserves a little extra help, it is these guys!!!
My Project
These accessories will allow my students to use their new technology without delay.
The students will be independent, self-sufficient learners with their own flash drives and earphones.
This will allow them to work on different projects without disturbing others in the class. They will also be able to save their information on their own drives. The portable chargers will be helpful in those situations when "something goes wrong" (as teachers, this has happened to all of us). The cases will allow the students to safely store their own earphones and drives, eliminating the problem of different students using the same earphones.
