Our school is a unique mix of low-income and military students. We are creative, innovative, and diverse. Students learn, play, and grow while pursuing academic excellence in a safe learning environment. Teachers at our school coax ingenuity and ideas out of students, and, in return, students at our school coax passion and joy out of teachers.
We are a little school with a big heart.
The movement of military kids means they may not have time to put down strong roots, but they do have time to grab hold of ideas, implement creativity, and excel academically at a school where students come first. The socioeconomic status of a number of our students means they may not have the best at home, but we can provide the best at school.
In recent years, lack of funding across public schools has placed the burden of providing a quality education and resources for students on the teacher. While the challenge is gladly accepted by teachers, it is not feasible without the help of those willing to donate to meet the educational needs of these fantastic students.
These resources will help to create a cheerful and homey atmosphere in our classroom. The rug will provide a comfortable setting to read books and work independently. The book display will be used to display our current books of study. These books will be seasonal or related to our current topic of study. With these items, we will create a comfortable and organized classroom. The colors of the rug will fit right in with our classroom decorations and help to turn our classroom into a safe environment where students feel like they are right at home. These resources will be a perfect functional addition to our classroom.
