Dried out markers. Clogged glue bottles. Broken headphones. After more than 10 years of teaching in the same school and same classroom, learning materials that we use so often start getting worn-out, broken, and dingy. That is why I want to get new classroom materials so I can provide a comfortable learning environment for my students. I try my hardest to make my classroom a warm, inviting, and welcoming learning environment, but sometimes you just need a refresher on the materials that we've used so much for so long.
Small group learning is key to reaching and individualizing learning.
I use dry erase markers and erasers every day and they are the first thing to get worn out.
With 25 kiddos, we clean our room at the end of every day. Disinfecting wipes and a sweeper vacuum not only help keep our room safe and clean, but also let's students take responsibility for their own learning space as well.
