The students who attend this school are 10% homeless and 90% in poverty. The school I teach in is a refugee school. There are 20 different languages spoken.
Our students don't have the means to get involved in creative activities unless provided by the school or the community outside.
There are many extremely intelligent students who would benefit from the extra support of a creative means outlet.
My Project
These classroom materials will be helpful to my students to be more involved in learning. The dry erase pockets are something the students love to work with. It also helps with saving on paper. The morning meeting chart and chips will help the students be more engaged while meeting in the mornings. The pencils & erasers are awards that my students love to receive. The students become really involved when they see that I'm passing out little prizes for those who TRY! It really gets them all to try to participate.
