My Students

My student's are high risk 4 year olds who are in a preschool initiative program to help develop readiness skills for Kindergarten. They are energetic and eager to learn new things. These students qualified "high risk" for numerous qualifying factors. Low socioeconomic, military parent deployed, a parent incarcerated, single parent, English as a second language or having experienced trauma.

These kids will learn through play as well as moderately structured activities.

We will work on strengthening fine motor control and increasing language opportunities.

My Project

All of our students come from homes where the parents are not able to donate supplies for our classroom. We need things like command hooks to hang their projects or toys . Band aids for their many boo boos. Art supplies and printer toner to make things for exciting projects for the kids to keep their interest in learning.

We want to be able to offer each child every opportunity to find success.

They will learn through creating art and doing engaging activities in the room. The best part of creating art is being able to see it hanging around the classroom. This will help to provide excitement over their creations. By having these supplies on hand we will be able to present their work for them in the room.
