My Students

My students are an engaged group of diverse teenagers. They are between the ages of 15-18 years old with different ethnic, religious, economic and cultural backgrounds. They are a fun group full of energy and are eager to learn.

Though their academic abilities are of varying degrees, they are goal oriented and hardworking.

With the growing population and diversity in the bay area our student population is growing and changing as well. Overall they enjoy learning history and are enthusiastic to share their opinions in class discussions, especially with current events.

My Project

The colored markers can be used for multiple creative projects. For example, students create their own propaganda when studying WWII, make powers about different Civil Rights Movements, and creating their own political cartoons. We go lots of markers between all the projects we do each year.

The dry erase markers in a variety of colors will make it easier to keep the white board organized with instructions for each class.

The phone charging stations will help keep students on task. They are willing to surrender their cell phones when given the opportunity to charge them. This way they get their phone charged, and they are no longer distracted by them and can focus on instruction.
