This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students live in Missouri. The typical student in my classroom reads at a second grade reading level. My goal is to provide my students with the essential resources to bolster student engagement and success.
Our school is a Title I school with 100% of students receiving free and reduced lunch.
Many of my students have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school. Our school is located in a highly transient, low socioeconomic, and high poverty community.
My Project
In order to give my student more space in their classroom we need storage bins to organize all of their papers and worksheets. Providing student enough space in the classroom is important because it allows them to fell more relaxed in their learning environment. We also need markers that will help make anchor charts for their learning. These charts are referenced by students throughout the school year.
These supplies will help my students continue to be successful and comfortable in the classroom.
Thank you all so much for your generous donation. I know that every small donation will be a huge help.
