Do you remember starting out each school year with a plethora of new supplies? Coloring with a brand new marker, uncapping a perfect new glue stick? These memories are a part of the beginning of school all students should experience.
My students are incoming 2nd graders.
While I have yet to meet their bright and shining faces, I know these children will be dedicated learners during their year with me. As seven to nine year olds, arts and crafts, being creating, and making individual art creations are fun activities throughout the school year. The children come from a variety of backgrounds and socio-economic standings. All of these little ones are ready to be loved and enjoy school.
My Project
In our classroom, as a first year teacher, we will need many of the basic supplies in order for students to complete basic tasks. From fun arts and craft activities, to mathematic problems like graphing, markers and colored pencils are very important to have in a 2nd grade classroom. To try and create the best classroom we can, I have asked for the following items:
Markers-washable to make sure those little marks will always come out!
Colored pencils-students LOVE colored pencils!
Folders-students always need the ability to keep themselves organized
Sentence strips-these are fun resources for the students to create their own words for our word wall
Erasers-can't have students using their hands!
All of these products help create the best environment for our 2nd grade classroom. Without these key items, students will have a hard time enjoying some of the fun aspects of school.
I want to sincerely thank you for visiting our classroom needs.
We all know how amazing it is for anyone to give of themselves to help out our students. With these materials provided to my students, I know they will undoubtedly enjoy using all of them throughout the year. Thank you again so very much!
