Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my 5th year teaching second grade. This is a year where the students are becoming very independent but still need that safety net. My students come in my classroom every day excited to learn. They are eager to do well and are always on their A-Game, these children deserve every resource and help they can get to help them excel in their education. They have the potential to become whatever they want to and we can get them there by instilling the love for learning at a young age.
My Project
My students come from a low economic area. Some can’t afford all the supplies that are in the school supply list. By helping to donate to my classroom. These supplies will be used to enhance student learning. Being able to be creative with their education is known to boost motivation and increase their understanding on the topic that is being taught. The construction paper is always used in my classroom. I try to encorporate as many hands on product based projects. The glue, crayons, markers will only benefit the students to allow them to add their creative touch to each project they complete.
