Full of energy and excitement, my fifth grade dual immersion students love interactive learning! Whether it's singing about the steps in long division or making movies about historical events, learning comes alive as we use technology and creativity. We love reading books, writing our own novels, and coming up with projects to show our learning.
Coming from a wide variety of backgrounds in our small town, it is so important that all of their voices are heard and understood.
My goal is to help them learn life skills that will enable them to become wonderful and empathetic leaders in the future!
My Project
Our classroom is a place where we are constantly reading, writing, solving, and creating! In a dual immersion classroom, we don’t have much time together, so we make sure to use that time wisely.
These supplies will help us be more efficient and engaged in our learning!
We will be using the binders so students can access different units of reading materials to practice fluency with a partner. We have dry erase boards, but are running out of dry erase markers to demonstrate our thinking during math. Students have been erasing their boards with their hands or small puffs, but these erasers would be much more effective! The paper and colored pencils will be put to good use with the different creative writing and art projects we do in class. The storage container will store our different types of paper we use often!
