Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Honestly, a typical day in my classroom includes students who have difficulty not tattletaling on others. Students who constantly need practice keeping their hands to themselves, and students who lookout for the rest of the class by reminding them of consequences when they begin to get too loud!
My school strives to recognize students for making good choices and teaching character traits daily.
My students are practicing being happy for others even when they wish it was "their" name chosen to be a helper. Each year a class has different personalities. This year I have many struggling learners. Half of my class still does not have letter recognition or recognize numbers through 20. Teachers do not have an aide at all during the day, even though we have close to 20 kinders with a variety of challenges.

My Project
I am looking forward to having a classroom set of crayons students can find the color they desire without arguing or trying to steal from others. I'm excited about the chart holder because there is never enough wall space and students will be able to look through the charts at things we are learning each week. We are going to work harder on reading and writing after the Thanksgiving break so word spacers and other items will come in very handy!
