Our high school has approximately seventeen hundred students. We have a diverse school community within a large school district. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds but all have a willingness to learn. Our teachers work hard to help and care for our students. Our administrators work tirelessly to make our staff and students feel loved within our school community.
Our students are energetic and love to learn.
They are curious about the world around them but also want to have fun at school. We would love to see more student and teacher involvement at our school. We are hoping to build our relationships, bonds and community spirit through engaging activities during the school day.
My Project
We are hoping to get some classroom cleaning supplies and a few gift cards to help us pay for cooking lessons. We may be distance learning for parts of our school year, so we want to make sure we can still do our weekly cooking lessons. The gift cards will allow us to pay for materials for students whether they are in or out of the building. We are also hoping for some additional classroom storage because we couldn't fit everything in our room due to social distancing.
We are hoping for some fun books that will add to our reading lessons and give us some choice in the classroom.
Having additional reading materials will let the students have a bit more freedom. We can also read the books together whether we are in the building or doing remote learning!
