I have a wonderful class of 20 second grade students. My classroom includes all different types of learners. My class has worked so hard this school year to prepare for third grade and to meet the standards presented in ELA, writing, and math. In addition to these standards, we have continued to grow our social studies CCSS and started rolling out our new Science CCSS.
My students thrive off of the excitement that I try to instill through my teaching.
My goal is to pass on my love of learning to my students. My hope is to have them eager to learn more and more as they move forward to 3rd grade.
My Project
My classroom is in desperate need of versatile seating for my 2nd grade students. With options for seating, my students will be able to adapt to different activities. This seating will also help them stay focused for longer periods of time while reading or writing in my room. This seating would be easy to move and rearrange in my room to meet the needs of the students. Wiggle chairs transform regular sitting into active sitting, by allowing the students to move around while they read and write. My students will be able to wiggle, wobble and work when sitting in these amazing wiggle wobbles!
