My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher at a title 1 school. This will be my fourth year teaching at this school. My students are the #1 reason I love my job! They are joyous, hard-working, and inspiring. I am hoping to get a large classroom rug that will fit all of my students comfortably and will last for many years. My students love working on the floor and I know having a comfy place to do so will make them extremely happy!

My Project

Having a large rug in my classroom will provide a warm and inviting space for my students to gather. I know my students will love learning from a comfy classroom rug! In a kindergarten classroom, we would use this rug all the time as a gathering space for lessons, read-alouds, and partner sharing. My students spend more time working around the room, than in traditional desks. Having a comfy space for young children to work means that they have more flexibility in their learning. This would be the perfect addition to our classroom. By donating to our project, you are creating a comfy learning environment for all of my kindergarten kiddos!
