My Students

I work in a Title I school, that is high need. Many students come to my school to learn regardless of the circumstances they have in thier home-life. This year my district started a new program specifially for my school to help meet the basic needs of my students. With extra interventions, the goal is to set them up for success with an equal playing field.

My school's mission is to providing consistency and structure while educating the whole child (social, emotional, and academic) ensuring opportunities for growth and create patterns of success leading to college and career readiness in our connected community.

My Project

We have one primary classroom that needs a rug for their room. The rug is a vital part of building a community to share stories and ideas. We sit on the floor everyday and need a nice area to gather. We learn from each other and need a space on the floor that is soft. The classroom rugs have specified areas to help students build boundaries from one another.

The rug will be used daily as we read, learn, share activities, and grow.
