Kindergarten students spend a lot of time in the classroom gathering space. A classroom rug would allow the students to be comfortable and safe in their own space.
My students are four, five, and six-year-olds who are eager to learn and work cooperatively with their peers.
As kindergarten students they have to be taught the concept of personal space. With a classroom rug that has thirty squares on it, they will be able to see their boundaries and learn best in their own space.
My Project
With a rug in our gathering space, students will each have their own square and be able to quickly get to their spot when it's time to meet at the gathering space. We do a lot of different activities in our gathering space, such as: calendar, singing, dancing, reading, nursery rhymes, sharing, and class meetings. With this rug, students will know their boundaries and be able to stay focused and learn without scooting around the room. Since my students are so eager to learn, I want to give them the opportunity to be successful and have a great experience in kindergarten.
Kindergarten is when students begin their journey of lifelong learning.
Help us to purchase this rug so that my students can learn to control their bodies and remain in their own space. this rug will help my students so they can stay focused and learn all of the wonderful things that we do in kindergarten!
