Classroom Rug for Fantastic First Graders!

My Project

My compassionate and lively group of 1st Graders will use this carpet as a space to listen, learn, and READ! We gather as a classroom community throughout the day, but mornings are especially valuable. Students will be able to sit comfortably on their carpet squares and engage in our Morning Meeting and Calendar Time, which is an essential piece to their math instruction.

The segmented carpet squares will make it so much easier for students to respect physical boundaries on the carpet and provide them with a comfortable space to learn!

Additionally, we take multiple brain breaks throughout the day and practice mindfulness as a classroom community. The carpet will create a comfortable space for students to engage in these social, emotional, and physical practices!

This bright group of 1st Graders also takes part in daily ELA and Math Center Activities. This carpet will allow me to provide a flexible and comfortable space for students to play ELA and Math Games, as well as a space to grab a book and read! This carpet will do wonders for our classroom community and most importantly provide a comfortable space to listen, learn, and grow.
