My students need a classroom rug to use during read-aloud time. We also need a jump rope for the playground.

My Students

We are a 2nd grade classroom located in rural East Tennessee. Our class is a racially diverse inclusion classroom, which includes English language learners and students with learning difficulties. We love exploratory learning and centers!

While we learn our standards, we also focus on life skills.

We use kind, uplifting words and encourage our classmates. We help one another and take pride in our classroom. Everyone has a chore to help our classroom run smoothly. We focus on working smarter, not harder.

My Project

Please help my classroom purchase a large rug to use during group time. The rug we currently have, I purchased myself online and is too small for all of us. Several students are left sitting on the tile each time, which creates problems. I don't want anyone to feel left out. Group time is a time where we come together for read-aloud and class discussions.

We also need a jump rope for the playground.

My students are currently tying two small ropes together, so they can jump as a team. I love that they are including others in play and being active. They will be so excited to have a large jump rope!
