My Students
I am a Spanish teacher in Norfolk, Va. who loves to teach and build relationships with students. This pandemic has made it difficult.
I am grateful that each student has a device that has been provided to them by the district.
I have found that my students love to explore, collaborate and create. We have found many online platforms that have helped to enhance online learning.
My Project
This year the teacher storage has been abnormal. We are short two Spanish teachers. I currently have 310 students. I want my classrooms to be a warm and inviting environment for my students. As the students all have Chromebooks, I have found it is best to stand behind the students to monitor what they are during as I cast the information on my smartboard. I would love to have a standing desk chair and a laptop cart for the back of my room. My students have stated that it is too bright in the classroom and that I should invest in lamps for the classroom and a little decor.
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement as they are learning to navigate via online learning.
Funding this program will help me change the decor in my classroom for my students. Please help my students focus on the things in the classroom and not their circumstances and situations that may be waiting for them outside my classroom door.
