This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach Head Start preschool in a low income area. I have seventeen students who range from three to five years old, . My student are starting this year virtually. My students are energetic, very eager to learn, and like to explore new things outside of their homes. Because the students are from a low income area, they need a lot of love, redirection and support to shape their lives for the future, especially with Covid 19 looming.
I will be seeing my students on Google Classroom four days a week.
I am excited to make the year a great year for my students in this new normal.
My kids are fun, joyful, and they are children who are drawn to colors and pictures.
With your help, I can make learning to be fun so my children will enjoy the class.
My Project
Help give my students a printer and laminating machine to help them reach their academic goals.
Since our classes are going virtual, I will be depending mostly on the printer to print out a lot of classroom work.
I will be printing daily necessities and basic classroom colorful visual aids to use in the classroom for teaching and learning since children learn faster by seeing.
I will also be able to print cognitive games to practice essential skills such as letters, sounds, colors, shapes, number identification, and patterns to be used in our daily learning.
Homework, home activities, and work will be printed and sent home for parents to help them successfully complete it.
Finally, sending out letters, reminders, class activities, and meetings to parents is another way to communicate with them to get them involved in their children's learning.
My goal is to see my children be able to identify letters, numbers and matching them together. I humbly plead with you good people to help my classroom with these materials to make a good transition for the academic year.
