I will be returning to the classroom in a new school and new district after supporting teachers for the past 4 years.
I will be teaching 2 sections of 7th Grade Science and 2 sections of Robotics which will be a mixture of 7th and 8th grade students.
Each class will have on average 30 students which means I will have roughly 120 students.
36% of my new students qualify for free and reduced lunch status and 15.7% are English Language Learners. I'm excited to meet all of them in two weeks.
My Project
I'm returning the classroom and need to replenish my favorite classroom supplies. I donated all of my supplies to other teachers when I left the classroom 4 years ago. Before I go back to the classroom I want to make sure I'm ready for success.
I'm requesting classroom basics that the students will use on a weekly basis.
Students will be building a science notebook throughout the year. We will be creating graphs and diagrams and the glue and scissors will make it easy to add them to the science notebooks. These tools will help student work in groups and on project based learning activities.
