Ms. Tallman from Saint Paul MN is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a full classroom set of student-friendly, adjustable and comfortable headphones to utilize our technology component in the classroom daily. Each student will get to use their own headphones daily when practicing fluency skills.

My students are an amazing bundle of 26, with 98 percent of them, English language learners. 75 percent are currently below grade level in reading. Thank you to all the amazing donors who funded our reading library. The students are utilizing and loving the leveled texts we were gifted!
As an additional learning tool, we use iPads daily to practice reading and math fluency.
This is a stationed learning activity that is vital for me as the lead teacher to ably differentiate and meet with my different reading groups daily (especially with such a wide range of learners). With your help and support I would love to gift my students with the ability to independently practice skills at their individual level by providing us with a full classroom set of student friendly headphones. This will also provide limited distraction from those engaging in their small group time!
These learning tools (listening headphones) will greatly impact my diverse learners, providing them with the opportunity to fully practice reading and math fluency skills while the classroom teacher is differentiating instruction for small group time. With these tools, students will be able to hear only their own practice, zone out any other sounds/distractions and ably engage in their individualized learning!
Being given the opportunity to gift my students with this set of learning tools will greatly impact their ability to engage in the individual practice, which I promote.
My ultimate goal is to also prepare these young learners for the 21st century.
