This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Visual aids have been proven to help learning. Right now my students are unable to have these visual aids because my classroom is without a projector. Having a projector in my room will help my students better understand science concepts and learn more!
Like most students my kids love to feel successful.
A classroom projector will help them have that feeling of success because it will help their learning.
My students are all from low income homes and they all receive free breakfast and lunch at school. Many have parents that are not high school educated or have now gone back to school to finish their degree. Many of my students have parents that work many jobs to make ends meet or are unable to find work at all.
My Project
I am asking for a projector for the classroom. This will be used to make the material come to life for my students. Students will be able to see images of the material they are learning, they will be able to see online labs, video clips of scientific experiments, and animations of difficult concepts.
Having a projector in the room will mean that my students will more easily be able to understand the material.
This will make them feel (and be) more successful at school. I hope this will inspire a love of learning that they can take with them to 8th grade, high school, and beyond!
