I teach 6th grade Math and Science at a small charter school in Dunedin Florida. My students are very hardworking g and driven students with a lot drive to be successful. They love hands on activities and being able to move around the room. I love creating hands on activities for them so they have the opportunity to be self guided learners. I try to create a classroom with flexible seating so they have the ability to learn and work in a way that makes them feel comfortable.
As a teacher our lesson plans can change out of nowhere for many different reasons. Sometimes we need to print up new worksheets or activities on the sport to accommodate these changes. When we don't have a printer in class it can make it difficult to make adjustments and spur of the moment lesson changes.
I also do a lot of project based learning with my students such as posters, brochures and presentations.
By having a printer in my class the students can use it to print pictures, papers, articles and other things they may need to complete their projects in class with out having to try and do it at home, go to the library or find other means of printing.
