I want to do everything I can to offer these students the resources they deserve to foster a joy of learning and creating.
My students are vibrant, vivacious, creative, and full of energy.
Our school is a consolidation of three separate small towns that are close-knit, but the students have very limited technology resources. I would love to see my students' creative energy given a channel that is engaging, can be shared with all students and with the community, and can foster a relationship between the two.
My Project
We were lucky enough to get four Microsoft Surface tablets funded through the generosity of others through DonorsChoose.org. We are now looking to get a wireless printer that will accommodate the tablets, so students will have the option to print from the tablets. At this point, our school does not have any wireless printers, which means students are not able to print images from the tablets. In art, students regularly reference images to create from, and having the option to print out images to reference their projects would be very beneficial to the art classroom.
In an attempt to enrich the Montgomery art program in an era that depends largely on technology, I would like to incorporate as many resources for the students as I have the opportunity to.
