Students are scholars at our school. We are a diverse school, serving scholars of various socioeconomic and ethnic diversity as well as levels of academic achievement backgrounds.
I want to empower my students to think outside the box, learn problem-solving skills, and critical thinking strategies to prepare them for their future in education.
My goal is to give them many hands-on opportunities to learn and discover. It’s amazing to watch them work together with materials in creative ways. This fosters problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and allows for the individuality of each student.
My Project
My class is full of students who love to learn! They are primarily visual learners and also love technology. They would love a color printer for our classroom. This would allow them to use technology and visual aids to increase their depth of understanding of new material.
By having access to a color printer, I will be able to print learning centers and games that engage the students and make learning visually appealing!
Additionally, the ability to print large quantities of color documents will allow us to produce, distribute, and display high-quality professional development resources, particularly technology troubleshooting and training guides for teachers and helpful guides to accompany the various technology resources throughout the building.
Having extra toner for our new printer will allow us to print throughout this year and next before we need to worry about any replacement materials.
