Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As most schools in the district, ours is closed for the remainder of the school year. All lessons are being conducted virtually via zoom. One of the biggest tasks I have currently, is to prepare the 102 students at our school for the AP Human Geography exam, which will be given virtually on May 12. Right now we use multiple platforms to review, including google classroom, collegeboard live lessons, live reviews recorded and/or given by me and through smart classroom technology. It is definitely a challenge to make sure that all students have verified their accounts and emails to be prepared to take the exams from home on the 12th.
As a result of closures, there was not a whole lot of time to get resources from my classroom, particularly to keep my home/new working environment organized and to provide as much possible for the students.
My Project
This project is intended to organize my at home learning environment so that I can have everything I need to create a creative and fun learning environment space at home. Since the pandemic is indefinite at the moment, we are likely to have a form of blended learning starting next year.
It is my hope to create a space that can be shared with my students but also serve as a proper learning environment for myself in this uncertain time.
This will allow me to create the best virtual learning possible!
