My students need more storage for their books and binders. I am trying to make my classroom more accessible for kids. The book bins and magnetic folder bins will help my students to stay organized and find their materials easily.

My Students
Our students come from a multitude of backgrounds, but many of them come from low-income homes. All of our students are on free breakfast and lunch. Many of them also attend our after school programs where they are provided with dinner as well if they choose. Despite their circumstances, our students come to school eager to learn and become better citizens in the community. In the classrooms at our school, we cater to all types of learners in many different ways. It is my goal to make the classroom environment motivating for all students in my classroom.
My Project
I have been working to organize my classroom this year to make it more motivating for students' learning. I have replaced a lot of the seating in my classroom to make it more motivating, and now I am working on a project to create an environment that is more conducive to student collaboration and organization.
These "Help Yourself" storage containers from Lakeshore Learning will help my students learn organization skills and find their materials quickly.
They will be fabulous for my reading and math stations!
Now that we have the seating we needed thanks to our donors on DonorsChoose.org, we need to get our materials organized too! My room is set up for group collaboration so I have tables, not desks. These book bins will be helpful with group collaboration and organization.
