Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are located in a lower income area of our city. Our students want to learn and I want to provide them with every opportunity possible.
By providing a wide range of reading material, as well as technology that might not be available to these young minds otherwise, we can reach students that may have previously shown little to no interest in learning.
I want to encourage these young minds to find out how wide their world can become by simply learning the enjoyment of opening a book.
I want to thank the donors for their help in this essential task.
My Project
Our school is classified as 100% poverty level. We recently had our title one funding cut severely. These students sometimes are not able to collect the basic supplies such as highlighters for selecting portions of passages, or sticky notes for easier note-taking while reading, as well as expo markers for working out Math problems in a more cooperative and environmentally friendly manner are needed to be successful in their learning environment.
They are always extremely grateful to enjoy basic supplies others might take for granted.
By donating funds to our classroom you will be giving them the basic supplies needed to participate in their own education. Thank you for taking the time and using your resources to help these young minds take their formative steps, and showing them that there are many that care about their future.
