I teach a North Carolina Pre-K class at a Head Start center. I have 18 children in my class. I serve children from low-income families that may not have resources at home to supply their children with things that we can give them in the classroom.
We do many learning activities throughout the day in our classroom.
We do reading, writing, music, discovery, small and large groups, outdoor learning and play. We provide many things for the children and families we serve that they may not be exposed to otherwise.
My Project
We are needing some supplies for the classroom as well as for the students to have this summer and for the beginning of Kindergarten. We would like for the children to have pencils, markers, folders and other much needed supplies to begin their journey through school. We also need the supplies for activities we conduct throughout our school year.
Children need supplies to ensure a successful school year.
Without the needed supplies the children can fall behind if they are not able to do their work. With supplying the students with pencils, crayons and glue sticks they will be able to complete any homework assignments they may get in the upcoming school year as well as the activities we have in this school year.
