I am a First Grade Chinese Bilingual classroom teacher. I have 20 Chinese students who are limited English learners. I would like to establish a classroom media station for my students to learn, educate and be inspired with other knowledge beside the textbooks. I would like to have a classroom media station which includes a 19 inch TV, a DVD and VCR combo and a TV stand in my classroom. The classroom media station will provide a media for my students to learn different ways. It will provide the supplemental learning resources to endure that my students will reach his or her full potential. I will use the classroom media station to re-teach and introduce the new material to the class for one hour every week. Students will learn the live science, phonic, social science, math and health subjects with the selected DVD and VCR. Students will learn all different kinds of new ways and explore other fields of education through the media. It will increase their horizons. Students will be interested in the different fields of education. A classroom media station will enhance the ESL students to learn by watching the selected DVD and VCR. They will better understand with the pictures and sounds. The classroom media station will be a great gift for my classroom. With the shortage of school funding, the school will not have any money to purchase a classroom media station for my classroom. We are in the 21st century, and my classroom is still not equipped with the new technology for the students to learn. I sincerely hope that you can help me to have a classroom media station in my school. We feel grateful for your generosity and help.
