My students need a document camera, writing supplies, paper, dry erase markers, and erasers for real-world examples and to have the materials necessary to collaborate and complete assignments. Also, several games for rainy recess days.
My school is made up of approximately 1,300 middle school students from multiple backgrounds. We are very diverse ethnically, academically, and socio-economically. A large majority of our students are low-income families. Our school includes grades 6-8. Our motto is "success starts today". You can help our students have success by providing funding for projects that will directly benefit our students. Your financial support will allow me to provide my students with opportunities and experiences that they may not have another way. Thank you for your consideration and support.
My Project
The materials I requested will facilitate learning for my students. Some requested materials include a document camera, general classroom supplies, protractors, and a glue gun/ glue sticks. The document camera will allow me to project student work and show real-world pictures and examples from a variety of resources. The classroom supplies include paper, pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, and colored pencils. Access to all of these are essential for students to feel prepared; your contribution will allow me to have ample supplies for students who don't have their own. Next, the protractors would allow me to replace the laminated paper ones that I am currently using to teach my constructions standard. Finally, the glue gun and sticks would allow me to display student work in various locations throughout my classroom. In addition, it would allow me to more easily decorate my room and hang content references and word wall words throughout the room.
All of these items will help contribute to a smooth flow in my classroom and relieve stress from students by providing supplies to those who would otherwise be unprepared.
