My Students

Students participating in my classroom come from a wide background. Majority of the students I teach are of a military family or come from families that live in lesser conditions than others. They are in constant need of supplies in the classroom that I usually supply myself in order to make activities, worksheets, and send out important information. The activities I require them to do in class often require various materials that I need to provide because I know that I will not be able to ask my students for them because some will not be able to bring them in.

My Project

I teach 6th and 7th Grade Social Studies. I strive for my students to have a hands-on experience in the classroom and this means often creating things rather than just answering questions. I frequently run out of supplies needed in order to give all of my students the hands-on activities that I have planned for them inside the classroom. I would like to be able to give all of my students the same opportunity to learn as those around them. By using these materials students will be able to create projects pertaining to history that will help them remember the lessons and to guide others.
