Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 152 students are a diverse group with no racial majority. They come from all different backgrounds and have a variety of needs. Most of them are coming in with a negative view on learning science, so it is my job to show them how exciting learning and investigating can be.
I am a first year teacher, with very few materials to work with.
Instead of going broke to fund my classroom, I am looking for the support of others.
My Project
My students are in need of resources including colored pencils, markers, scissors and rulers so they can make posters and participate in other activities that involve drawing, cutting and creating. My classroom currently has one set of colored pencils for everyone so there is a LOT of sharing going on.
It would be nice to have all of the materials we need to create posters and more!
i have also requested some miscellaneous items such as a first aid kit, which my classroom also needs. As a first year teacher, I am finally realizing what I am going to need for next year. So if this gets funded late, then next year's students will benefit.
