This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Help! We have worked so hard this year and have used up all of our papers, dried up all of our markers, and sharpened and used all of our pencils! Using our new, Common Core Curriculum, we get to experience more hands-on activities in all subject areas and we are running low!
My 3rd graders are super smart!
They all get along so well and are always lending a helping hand to one another. We are a little family. My students come from low income households with parents who work hard to provide for their families. Some working more than one job. 95% of my students are on free or reduced lunch. My students are the happiest kids and receiving school and classroom supplies would make their year! They will be excited and grateful for any donation!
My Project
These resources would change and enhance my students' lives for the better because they work with hands on activities everyday. They learn best when using Manipulatives and drawing examples. It helps them explain their thinking. Our state has adopted new standards . The frameworks for math and science activities require a lot of hands-on and exemplars for learning and assessing. Since our school system is struggling financially, they have had to cut back on supplies for teachers. This can get very expensive for a teacher to supply a class of 22 or more supplies they need everyday.
These donations will make a huge difference in my students' lives.
They will not only be able to continue learning efficiently and effectively, they will also feel grateful that someone out there still cares about their education. This would truly mean the world to these precious children.
