Help us do a mini makeover on our classroom! We need chairs for our learning centers, and a new bookcase. Privacy partitions and a homework organizer will really spruce up our room and prepare us for special assignments and assessments.
My students are eager second grade learners who are interested in learning and exploring the world.
Our school is a wonderful community charter. Parents, teachers, and students partner with our local community. We pool our resources and talents for the benefit of our children. We are known for our arts programs. During the course of the year my second graders typically perform in four plays each closely aligned with a different curriculum- science, social studies, art, and music. My students range from those with special needs, to second language learners, and gifted and talented learners.
My Project
The chairs I have requested will provide comfortable seating for my students at our small group learning center. The bookcase is a much needed addition to the classroom. We currently lack enough chairs for students and storage for books. I have also requested "chair sox" which are placed over the feet of chairs to maintain a more quiet environment. The desk dividers will assist students with privacy during assessments. We need a homework organization center as well. The final items I requested are name tags holders for the students, we need these for field trips and enrichment classes.
