My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds. My school boasts the best balance of diversity that I have seen in an elementary school! I love being here and helping the kids make connections.

Each year, my goal is to build a strong classroom community in the hopes that those skills will follow the students as they grow.

One way to make this happen is to provide opportunities for collaboration. Letting the kids know that sharing is a way of showing respect to each other will serve them well down whatever paths they choose to follow.

My Project

I am hoping to get funding to do a mini-makeover in my classroom. By helping me to create a more engaging classroom, you will be boosting the excitement level of the students that are going to be with me this year.

Having cool work spaces like these dry-erase tables will allow the kids to help make their learning visual.

I can't wait for them to have a chance to work with others and share what they think, know, or are confused about! If kids can share their thoughts as young people, my hope is that they can keep this skill as they become leaders in the near future.
