My students need exposure to fluent readers on a daily basis, so I am trying to build my listening library by requesting 4 CD players, audio books, and books such as "The Capture."
Every year I try to instill the love of reading into my children. Every weekend I scour the thrift stores, garage sales, e-bay, church sales, and more looking for books to inspire the love of reading in my students. With your help I hope to be closer to reaching my goal.
My students are eager to learn, love hearing about new books, and are always looking for the next best author!
Our school has three fourth grade classrooms and a little over 400 students. This year I have 7 high ability students that I am always trying to challenge and hope through donors choose I can acquire more adequate materials to challenge them. They all seem to enjoy the use of technology in the classroom and lots of hands-on activities.
My Project
I have been teaching for seven years and I started my classroom library while in college. I worked through college and spent a portion of pay on scholastic book orders because even then I knew how important a classroom library would be. The ability to read and be fluent in reading will open doors to all sorts of opportunities for my students. By donating to my library you will open up endless possibilities for my students.
