My students are full of positive energy and are highly motivated by technology to expand their learning in all subject areas. They love to share their work throughout the community and school. Students in my class are seen trying their very best to go beyond your typical pencil and paper assignments by taking their learning to the next level.
Everyday they are looking to push the limits as to how a first grader can really make a difference.
The students in my class have developed a love for learning, with student choice being the driving force of the classroom. In my class you will see flex-seating and community shared items for all. Reading is something that all students are beginning to love. I am truly grateful for this bunch of students and have learned so much from them.
My Project
First grade is an amazing time in a students life. It is where they begin their life long love for reading as they begin to be able to read books all by themselves. Kids take pride when they are able to read a new book and giving them access to many types of books is the best way to keep their love for reading.
In my class kids enjoy all types of books from picture books to challenging chapter books.
With this project it will get quality books in the hands of all kids in my classroom. With the many different levels of readers this project will help each and every student have something they can enjoy.
