Amazing! This is the most fitting word I can use to describe my students. While they may struggle academically, my students show determination, perseverance, and positive outlooks on a daily basis. Learning may not come easy to them, but they genuinely want to improve their skills and are eager to learn. I have had the blessing to witness some amazing students grow by leaps and bounds through sheer grit and determination.
My students do not have an easy journey with obstacles to overcome, but no matter how many times they fall they get back up time and time again and continue to try.
They have shown me what it truly means to persevere. Watching students struggle melts my heart, but there is no greater joy than a student finally achieving their "Aha!" moment, where the concept just suddenly clicks. I count myself privileged to be able to guide these students on their journey and to be able to witness these incredible moments.
These books and book shelves will give my students access to reading materials that will help them grow their reading skills. Many students do not enjoy reading, so finding engaging reading material is important. Having new book shelves will allow me to create focus centers for new and interesting books to draw readers in.
My goal for this project is organize my classroom library in order to draw in all readers, from reluctant to avid readers!
The selected books will appeal to a wide variety of interests reaching many different students. A classroom can never have too many books!
