My Students

This is my first year teaching second grade and I am in love with this grade level. My students are some of the most lovable students I have worked with. They are full of wonder and curiosity.

They're excited with the small things that I am able to bring into the classroom and make the most of what the staff can offer them.

Sure they have some bad days but they are always keeping me on my toes and making be a better educator.

My Project

I would like to make a classroom library using the A-Z Mystery Series. I read one of these books to my students so far and they were hanging on the edge of their seat. Our classroom library is full of old, ripped, and non-interesting books. I want to instill the love of reading to my students by getting books in their hands that they are excited to read.

These books will be used during small group interventions, book bags for homework, and just to read for fun.

With these books I can create lessons that are geared to each group of students reading level and interest level. I can incorporate other subject areas into these books as well.
